Qualifications

Professional work experience (3-5 years) using JavaScript or TypeScript, with React and Node.js
Effective communication in English
Have a strong team mentality with discipline towards reviews, cooperation and knowledge sharing

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to design, implement, and optimize a process and/or workflow to deal with large-scale data and high throughput services in a microservice environment.
Interest in TypeScript if the candidate hasn't worked with it.
Experience in Node.js/React/ReactNative
Fluency in RDB, such as PostgreSQL and NoSQL, such as Redis
Experience in mobile application development for Android and/or iOS
Experience in recent development tools such as Docker, GitHub, CircleCI
Experience in AWS
Knowledge and experience in financial investments.

Working Environment

The office is 3 minute walk from Kojimachi station, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan.
Upon onboarding, you can choose your preferred development environment (an OS of your choice, PC, monitor, mouse, etc) within a certain budget.
Our core time is from 10:00 to 16:00, except Wednesdays. You can take a day off on Wednesdays as long as your working hours exceed a minimum requirement.
Our work primarily takes place in the office to foster teamwork and creativity. However, we do allow you to work from home some of the time (about 20 hours in a typical month if you don't do overwork).

Salary

Annual salary paid in 12 monthly installments (including 45 hours fixed overtime allowance).
Stock options are available based on your preference.

Other allowance

Commutation allowance with an upper limit.

Saturday, Sunday, national holidays
You can selectively take Wednesdays off after a probation period.
10 days of paid leave after 6 months. 15 days after another year, then the number of days progressively increases each year.
3 days of paid leave for sick leave during the first 6 months.

Their cryptact service was released in 2017 and is Japan’s largest when it comes to calculating cryptocurrency taxes. Their service also supports US and overseas accounting methods with plans for professionals as well.

They also run fintact, a service that helps people around the world find investment ideas and information. It is designed from the ground up to ensure transparency while providing a rich game-like experience within a large global community of investors.

Japanese Language Policy
Japanese isn’t required in the development team; however, because our main customer base is Japanese and we work with many Japanese partner companies, there will be a case where the Japanese capability would help.

Work style
- Full flex time with core time from 10:00 to 16:00 except Wednesday. You can take Wednesday offs as long as our minimum working hour requirement is met.
- Basically we work in the office, however, remote work is also available for a few days per month under a certain condition.

- Several of their core members have experience in hedge fund management and development of various financial systems at Goldman Sachs. By providing simple and easy-to-use tools, they will make virtual currency, blockchain, and smart contracts more accessible and able to enrich our lives.
