The Team
About You
In this role you will
- Operate as a design generalist, owning problems, translating research insights in to new ideas, designing the user journeys and detailed interactions to bring those ideas to life.
- Support customer interviews, workshops, and user testing sessions to solidify your team’s understanding of customer’s business problems and pain points.
- Create low-fidelity user flows and prototypes, considering accessibility and responsiveness, through to pixel-perfect production-ready visual designs.
- Collaborate with engineering to ensure that the finished product aligns closely with original design work and maintains a high quality standard.
- Apply an iterative design process by collaborating with non-design stakeholders to build consensus.
- Contribute to the maintenance and evolution of our existing design systems.
- Take advantage of product analytics and data to form solid hypotheses around user experience problems.
- Identify new opportunities and shift gears, when necessary, based on user needs.
- Help drive the direction, in process and culture, of a young design team.
In the first 3 months, you will
- Complete Moneytree’s privacy and security training.
- Proactively set up conversations to introduce yourself to leaders within our organization.
- Participate in your first interview with an existing Moneytree Personal user.
- Contribute your first design change to the Moneytree Personal product for iOS or Android.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience working with in-house, embedded, product teams.
- A product design-focused portfolio that displays an acute attention to detail.
- Experience working for a SaaS company, on mobile products and with distributed (remote) teams.
- Native Japanese (or JPLT N2 equivalent) and business-level English proficiency.
- Basic knowledge of a mobile programming language, such as Java, Flutter, Objective-C or Swift.
- Experience operating in a fast-paced start up environment, while wearing multiple hats.
- A willingness to continually learn, embrace the unknown and receive feedback.
