Our flagship product, the MujinController, empowers end users with a highly configurable, no-code interface for seamless automation across diverse applications such as palletizing, picking, and truck unloading.
We are seeking a Product Manager to define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the next-generation MujinController, driving innovation and commercialization in a rapidly growing market. This role is central to enhancing user experience, meeting market demands, and expanding our global impact.
Responsibilities:
- Research and monitor industry trends, competitors, and best practices in industrial automation and intelligent robotics
- Ensure timely completion of the product without cost overruns
- Portfolio Management: Oversees the product portfolio from creation to retirement, ensuring orders, revenue and profitability
- Contributes to business strategy formulation and translates it into the offering and solution portfolio through market and customer segmentation, and continuously evaluates the portfolio content with a focus on new potential solution deployments
- Contributes to new portfolios development by leading customer need and value analysis, planning the roadmap to create maximum value, monitoring portfolio performance, and coordinating with R&D
- Market analysis: Analyzes and tracks market, technology, competitor and customer requirements and trends related to the offering business including relevant regulations and standards and determines competitive attributes, prioritization and value proposition
- Design and negotiate systems interfacing, network architecture, PLC and network protocols, and project-specific requirements with customers
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in product management or product development in industrial automation, intelligent robotics, or related fields
- Experience with agile software development methodologies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Required Technical Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of common network protocols such as HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, ZMQ, TLS
- Experience working with PLC, timing charts, databases such as Postgres, and key-value stores such as Redis
- Familiar with industry best practices regarding network security, data consistency, high availability and redundancy
- Fundamental networking knowledge regarding network addresses, subnets, routing, broadcasting, port forwardingand , address masquerading, as well as common network services and functions such as DHCP, NTP, SSH, and VNC. Wireless technology such as 802.1X, roaming, wireless AP troubleshooting
- Ability to understand and contribute to complex software systems. Ability to design network architecture and communication protocols for large-scale software systems with considerations for low latency, data consistency, data recovery, failover, security and avoidance of timing issues and race conditions.
