Experienced Interaction Designer (New Product)

In this position you will be responsible for interaction design of BtoB products.

This is a business focused on digitally challenged industries, where the power of design can add significant leverage to the value proposition.

Working closely with business and tech team members, as well as partners and other stakeholders, you will be involved in the design of the service, including identifying potential issues, UX design and be at the forefront of the service launch.

What you will do

General design work for new businesses and services, with a focus on interaction design, to find and solve the essential problems of users and to solve industry issues through digitalization.

Specifically:

• UX research

• Overall design of the user experience for the new product

• Creation of interactive prototypes to validate hypotheses

• Interaction design of product

• Communicate with account managers and engineers and participate in decision making

• Installation of design thinking to internal and external stakeholders

What we can expect from you

• University-level education in Interface Design, Human-Computer-Interaction, Graphic Design, Communication Design, or equivalent experience.

• Intermediate (conversational) Japanese language ability.

• 3+ years of experience in interaction design or equivalent experience.

• Expertise with UI design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar tooling.

• Passionate about learning the skills required and constantly improving yourself.

• Take ownership and be able to tackle work on your own initiative.

• Flexible and open to change and ambiguity.

• Work in close collaboration with others and work at a high level of efficiency.

• Capable of having flat discussions with both business and engineering.

• A process-driven portfolio that demonstrates the experience requested here.

• For those in Japan, you must have a working visa valid for more than six months.

Bonus Points

• Conversational-level English language ability.

• Experience in interaction design for BtoB SaaS and business applications

• Have a systematic knowledge of HCD and design thinking

• Experience in launching new services such as web services and applications

• An understanding of design guidelines such as Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design.

• Practical experience of OOUI/OOUX.
