Responsibilities

  • Proactively work with the product team on designing and creating technical specifications
  • Lead and guide your team to deliver efficiently while unblocking their technical bottlenecks, and improve delivery every sprint
  • Collaborate to create excellent UI with great UX as the core principle
  • Implement features vertically, spanning front-end as well as back-end, designing & writing code that adheres to set coding standards
  • Performs code reviews
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend ideas to solve product and technical issues
  • Monitor technical processes against the project plan while safeguarding functionality, scalability, and performance
  • Share your knowledge with the team and teach others

Required

  • 6+ years experience in software & web development, working on production code
  • Python/Django
  • Experience in leading a development team of developers
  • Experience in product development
  • Any DevOps experience (e.g. Linux, cloud infra, CI/CD pipelines)
  • Experience with Git version control system and Jira issue tracking system
  • Experience in Agile methodology
  • Experience working on product(s) in the 1-to-10 stage
  • Excellent communication in English
  • Proficient in crafting usable UI with well-documented backend API

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Experience with React and/or other JS library and framework
  • Experience with networking architecture and setups
  • HR/Recruiting industry Knowledge
  • Japanese language ability
  • AWS tools experience
  • Docker or any other containerization tool
  • Knowledge of Security best practices and governance
  • Exposure to GDPR and private information management
  • Familiar with Slack for team communication
  • Familiar with Github or other repository for code review and communication
