This is another workcation space where you get to have a relaxing vacation while working remotely. However, it’s more of an Airbnb than a hotel, as it’s a single studio where you get a whole mini apartment all to yourself, including a kitchen where you can cook.

Located in a central area of the city, the 232 Coworking Space features an open layout with well-lit workstations and a calm, minimalist aesthetic. High-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the facility, as expected, and there are private rooms for meetings or focused work sessions.

LuLU Grass is a unique coworking space that’s operated by a flower shop, and is essentially a workspace combined with an indoor forest. Here, you get to sit among hundreds of plants of all kinds, taking in their peaceful vibes as you work.

From the outside, this is an unassuming establishment. However, your run-off-the-mill shop front quickly changes into an oasis as you walk up to the window. You realize that the inside is filled with flowers, succulents, large plants, and trees of all kinds, with a large communal table situated in the middle.

As this isn’t your usual coworking spot, amenities at LuLu Grass are limited. That said, you’ll get the essentials, like electrical outlets, chairs, and stable WiFi—all one needs to work remotely, with the addition of a charming, peaceful atmosphere.

Plus, while there may be no food or drinks available on the premises, you can bring your own inside. You can also buy one of the plants as it’s a flower shop.

For anything else, you’ll need to contact LuLu Grass, which you can do through their website or visit the place directly. It’s located just a five-minute walk away from Naka-Karuizawa station.

Karuizawa Bookstore Nakakaruizawa is a special bookstore located in Karuizawa Commongrounds. This is a communal complex that houses both the bookstore and coworking space.

The workspace, which can be found on the second floor, offers communal tables for working in an open space, as well as teleconference booths for video calls and meetings. If you’re working together with a partner or in a group, booths and meeting rooms can be found here as well.

While there may not be amenities such as free beverages, the unmatched nature you’ll find surrounding the bookstore and its serene vibes more than make up for it.

Getting here takes about 15 minutes on foot from the Karuizawa station, and it’s good to mention that the place is closed on Tuesdays.

Located only three minutes by car from Shinano Railway Karuizawa Station, Cafe Hip Karuizawa is also centrally located and is therefore easy to reach.
