このポジションについて：

ホンダに「ソフトウェア・ファースト」戦略を浸透させ、未来の車づくりのIT化推進を加速するために、ソフトウェア／モバイルのプロフェッショナル集団であるDrivemode社内にホンダ向けのテクニカルコンサルティンググループを新設いたします。本ポジションに採用された方には、コンサルティングチームの立ち上げ、プロジェクト体制構築、育成及びプロジェクトをリードして頂き、ホンダのグローバルなソフトウェア開発を中から変革して頂きます。Drivemodeのリーダーシップチームと連携し、親会社であるホンダの信頼できるアドバイザーとして、大きなインパクトを出して頂きます。

業務内容

コンサルティングチームを新規に立ち上げ、課題を分析した上で、ホンダに最適なソフトウェアソリューションを提案

プロジェクト全体を俯瞰し、リード：進捗・リスク管理、問題解決等

ホンダのステークホルダーとDrivemodeのコンサルティングチームとの架け橋として、コミュニケーションの円滑化

応募資格（必須）

6年以上のコンサルティング経験及び3年以上のチーム管理経験

モバイルアプリケーションのソフトウェア開発プロジェクトの経験

チームの一員として円滑にコミュニケーションをとることができる

大規模かつ複雑なプロジェクトの立ち上げから納品までを担当した経験

柔軟な姿勢と起業家精神を持っていること。自分が担当していない分野であっても、改善に向けて積極的に行動できる方

母国語レベルの日本語

自動車、オートバイ、その他の交通機関は現在の1000倍良くなると考えている方

Director of Technical Consulting

Our Mission: Smarter, safer, connected driving in any vehicle

Driving technology always feels old. Not by a little bit. Years and years out of date. Is that really just “the way things are”? We don’t think so and we’re here to fix that. We believe vehicles can be 1000x smarter, safer, and more connected to the world around us. We’ve started on this mission by building a mobile-based connected vehicle platform used by millions of drivers in over 150 countries. In 2019, we joined forces with Honda as their first startup acquisition, and now we’re expanding our vision by bringing together software and hardware to build new products that solve real needs for millions of drivers around the world.

About the Role

The Director of Technical Consulting is a new role to build and lead a new group within the Drivemode organization. The goal of the new group is to transform our parent company (Honda) into a software-first mindset when building the vehicles of the future. You will work directly with senior leadership to build a team around you and lead the team on high-profile consulting projects to greatly improve and accelerate software projects which will be deployed on Honda's vehicles globally.

What You Will Do

Lead an internal technical consulting group to transform a large hardware company into building great, software-driven experiences.

Build, lead, and grow a new consulting division within Drivemode.

Act as projects lead. This includes project management, scope and requirements management, risk management, and jumping in to solve issues with the technical team.

Be the communication bridge between the client stakeholders and the Drivemode consulting team.

Perform ongoing project status monitoring and reporting.

What We Look For

6+ years of hands-on software consulting, 3+ of which is in a team lead or manager role.

Exceptional communication skills and near native or above Japanese language skills.

Experience in mobile applications software development projects.

Experience working on large-scale, complex projects from inception to delivery.

A flexible attitude and entrepreneurial mindset. Be willing to do what it takes, even if it's outside of your usual responsibility area.

Ability to build and lead high-performing teams.

Someone who thinks that cars and motorcycles can be 1000x better than they are today.

Nice to Have

Experience at a top technology consulting company on implementation projects

Business-level English

Automotive industry experience, especially in mobility/connected car

You are very organized

Strong presentation skills

Agile/Scrum or PMP certification

About Drivemode

Drivemode (ドライブモード) は、ZipcarとTesla Motorsの起業家によって2014年に米国シリコンバレーで設立されたスタートアップ企業です。ドライバー向けスマートフォンの安全運転アプリの開発を手がけ、すでに150か国以上で数百万人のドライバーに使用されています。どの車両であっても、よりスマートで安全な運転を可能にするという、ドライバーの運転体験を根本的に変えるイノベーションに挑戦しています。

Japanese Language Policy
Although Drivemode's official language is English, Business level + fluency in Japanese may be required depending on a role that needs communication with Japanese-speaking stakeholders.
Visa Sponsorship
Drivemode provides visa and relocation support for certain positions, and for the roles where they have such support in place, they will clearly state that in the job description.

Engineer Interview Process
Interview process at Drivemode varies from position to position.
Here is an example of a process for our Software Engineer:
- 1st step: Resume screening and Screening online test
- 2nd step: 1st Technical interview with a hiring team
- Further step: 2-3 more interviews with the management
Remote Work
Drivemode was already a “remote team” before COVID-19, and they will continue to be with offices in multiple locations. However, due to the nature of work that happens inside Drivemode, there is a need to be at the office together from time to time when developing new products that involve hardware prototypes.
Work style
- Our standard working hours: 9:00 - 18:00
* We currently do not have flex time set up in our company.
* However we value and respect employees' work-life balance, and we provide an environment where employees feel comfortable enough to discuss his/her schedule with a reportline manager to prioritize a personal life, e.g. taking care of families.
* Also, we offer "holiday swap option" for employees to be able to move holidays to their non-busy time.
