The Vision Behind Establishing a Development Base in Kansai

Money Forward has established multiple development bases. For those who wish to work in the Kansai area, we operate two development bases in Kyoto and Osaka to provide a comfortable working environment for everyone across the Kansai region. Although the two bases have different physical offices, they are organized as the same "Kansai Base," allowing employees to choose the location that is most convenient for them. At the Kansai base, we are involved in the development and operation of "Money Forward Cloud Accounting Plus," a core product of "Money Forward Cloud ERP," as well as the development of new products.

We aim to build a team that can maximize user value by incorporating the principles of large-scale Scrum development.

Responsibilities and Duties

Our team is involved in the development and operation of the business-oriented cloud service "Money Forward Cloud Accounting Plus," which is widely used by small to large publicly listed companies. With the mid-term vision of "Accounting that grows and connects with businesses," Cloud Accounting Plus is continuously improved to ensure that the accounting department becomes the engine of a company's growth.

Two years have passed since the release of "Money Forward Cloud Accounting Plus," and we are grateful to see a steady increase in the number of users. As the codebase, access numbers, and data volume grow, we are at a stage where we must evolve our architecture to withstand larger-scale usage without slowing down the speed at which we deliver value.

To further accelerate the speed of delivering value to users of our growing accounting SaaS, we have started recruiting engineers to join us in driving development forward. Role

You will participate as an engineer in the development and operation of the business-oriented cloud service "Money Forward Cloud Accounting Plus." As an engineer on a Scrum team, you will collaborate with team members to advance development and engage in tasks necessary to deliver value to users. Your role will be to deliver more value to users from a technological perspective.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with team members to develop and operate the product as an engineer on a Scrum team
• Deliver more value to users of Cloud Accounting Plus

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience in web application development
• Experience in development using RDBMS

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience in development using object-oriented programming
• Development experience with Ruby on Rails and React
• Experience in software architecture design
• Experience in team development with five or more members

Language Requirements

• Japanese: Business level or higher (equivalent to JLPT N2 or above)
• English: Basic business level (equivalent to TOEIC 700 or above)
  • If you do not have a qualification equivalent to TOEIC 700 or above, you may be required to take a company-designated test during the selection process (generally expected after the first interview).
  • If you have other qualifications or experiences that demonstrate your English proficiency, please let us know.
    • Examples include Eiken Pre-1st Grade, Eiken 2nd Grade (Eiken CSE Score 1950 or above), TOEFL iBT 60 or above, IELTS 5.0 or above, Cambridge English FCE, etc.
    • Other qualifications or experiences demonstrating English proficiency can be discussed.
