Job Summary

The role of this position

To realize our mission, we need to take the following three steps:

1.) Research and development for the practical application of privacy tech (R&D domain)

2.) Implementation of practical software (software development domain)

3.) Provision of services that customers find valuable (business domain)
 

  • The R&D engineer is in charge of research and development of what is called “privacy tech” in order to realize #1.
  • The R&D Engineer will conduct research and development on all kinds of “privacy tech” technologies and implement the necessary software.
  • The R&D engineering team includes members with doctoral degrees and members who have achieved outstanding results in various research fields, and we aim to achieve our mission together with highly specialized members. 

 

Specific Duties

Research, study, development, and demonstration of privacy tech
Implement the results of research and development as software (libraries) (Python/C++/etc...)

Requirements

  • Ability to read and implement papers in areas using applied mathematics, such as cryptography and machine learning
  • Ability to communicate smoothly in Japanese
  • Ability to understand the structure of even abstract goals and to investigate and execute tasks autonomously.
  • Ability to turn the process of problem discovery->problem definition->implementation/verification->consideration 

 

Preferred Experiences

  • PhD in any field or Master's degree in mathematics, physics, engineering, or equivalent background
  • Experience in TEE/OS/Hypervisor development
  • Experience in research and development in the field of privacy security
  • Language skills to write and present research papers in English
  • Experience in facilitating research and development projects
  • Programming development and practical experience
  • Experience in development dealing with large-scale data
  • Experience in various contests (competitive programming, Kaggle, CTF, hackathons)
