Job Overview

Our designers start from service design and are involved in every stage from UX consulting to implementation. You will work to enhance user experiences in collaboration with clients, in-house and external designers, and engineers across various roles and projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with clients and in-house/external designers, engineers, and UX designers
  • Working alongside team members, including those from overseas offices
  • Conducting user research (e.g., impression and preference surveys)
  • Planning and facilitating workshops
  • Designing user interfaces and visual assets
  • Developing prototypes and conducting user tests
  • Reviewing implementations and performing quality control
  • Designing interfaces with a focus on holistic customer experiences

What is Service Design?

Service design refers to the comprehensive design of the overall customer experience, including the times when the product itself is not being used, as well as the organizations and systems that support it.

At our company, we achieve the following across new service launches, updates to existing services, and digital product development:

  • Creating ideal user experiences: Designing the ideal service vision across online and offline contexts from a user perspective.
  • Seamless design and implementation: Providing comprehensive solutions from UX consulting to web application and product development.

Tools Used

Primary Tools: Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, Figma

Supporting Tools: After Effects, Premiere Pro (for videos and animations), Google Workspace, Notion, Keynote (for documentation), CREATIVE SURVEY (for research), Slack (for communication)

About Foreign Members

Our team includes members from various countries, including China, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Sweden. While communication primarily occurs in Japanese, we provide support for learning Japanese after joining the company.

Position Features and Benefits

  • Problem-Solving for Better Experiences: Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and partners to overcome challenges while staying focused on ideal user experiences. Even those with no prior UX design experience can thrive with the right communication mindset.
  • Comprehensive scope: Involvement in every stage of the project allows you to deepen your knowledge across business, design, and technology.
  • Diverse experiences across industries: Gain insights into various industries and user needs through hands-on engagement in a wide range of projects.
  • Large-scale projects: Participate in high-profile projects, including new service launches, digital transformation initiatives, and IoT tools for leading national clients.
  • Flat organizational structure: Opportunities to take on new responsibilities and develop skills based on your initiative.

Career Path

Designers work alongside art directors, focusing on visual and UI design execution. Over time, responsibilities expand, leading to opportunities as an art director managing broader aspects of the project.

Art directors define optimal communication strategies based on user modeling, create compelling visions, and lead teams while fostering the growth of their designers. Ultimately, we aim for individuals to take leadership roles across UX and service design comprehensively.

Evaluation System

We emphasize a two-stage growth model: mastering delivery capabilities and advancing to business-driving roles. Key evaluation criteria identify current strengths and areas for growth, helping guide your next steps.

  • Team members are categorized into 15 levels based on skill points.
  • Evaluations occur twice annually, with promotions and salary adjustments typically conducted annually. In exceptional cases, changes may occur semiannually.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional design experience using tools like Photoshop or Illustrator (Experience in product design such as interior or architectural design is also acceptable, in addition to web design)
  • Work experience in Japan as a designer
  • Business-level Japanese proficiency (equivalent to JLPT N2 or above)

Preferred Skills

  • Professional design experience in digital domains such as web or app design
  • International experience working as a designer

Desired Traits

  • Aspires to create designs that are not just personally satisfying but resonate positively with everyone
  • Enjoys collaborating on design as part of a team
  • Wants to transcend the role of a single designer to contribute holistically to the creative process
