What you will be doing

Design and implement UI with designers and back-end developers
Review and design back-end API base on UI design plan
Implement web front-end with JavaScript/HTML/CSS
Build the libraries necessary for implementation
Make UI components with designers
Our technical stacks can be found on stackshare

Your Qualifications

Required

SPA (Single Page Application) implementation experience in HTML/CSS/JavaScript
Team development experience with CI service, GitHub and etc
Business level English (Japanese is NOT required)
Last but not least, fit with open source and hacker culture

Preferred

BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science or other related technical field
Development experience in iOS and Android
Development experience in REST API and server side
Development experience in Python and Golang
Some experience and/or knowledge of AngularJS/React/Vue etc
Experience implementing i18n (internationalisation) for applications and/or webpages

Work Style

Contract-type: Permanent full-time position (This is NOT a full-remote position and you will be required to come to Japan if you are living abroad)
Working Hours: 10:00 - 19:00 with flextime (core hours between 11:00 - 16:00 through Monday to Friday
Remote Work: We have a Work-from-Home policy
Work Holidays: 4 days of summer holiday, new years holiday (Dec. 29 - Jan. 3), family care leaves, in addition to paid annual leave

Japanese Language Policy
Japanese skills are a prerequisite for positions that require communication with Japanese speaking clients or third-parties. It might not be a requirement for software engineers, but it could be in other positions.

Tech Stack
We use a large variety of technologies at HENNGE and always encourage the use of the right tool for the job. We strive to always use the latest and most up-to-date technologies. Our back-ends are primarily written in Python or Go while our front-ends usually use Vue or React. We heavily use CI/CD tools to streamline our workflows. We use microservice architectures utilizing both containerization and serverless design. Our systems are mainly deployed on AWS with the use of GCP as well. We use a huge range of services provided by these platforms to support our applications.
