Job Description

PayPay is looking for iOS Engineers to work on our payment product to deliver the best payment experience for our customers.

Main Responsibilities

Work closely with our product team to customize the payment experience

Prototype new and redesign features

Focus on UI/UX design principles and product driven development

Work with an elite and focused team of app developers

Qualifications

Deep understanding of modern mobile/iOS development

Strong in Object Oriented design, and Swift

Experience with the iOS development

Strong passion for code quality and are not allergic to test cases

Familiarity with integration of Rest API

Strong sense of ownership

At least one mobile app you can show off in the interview

At least 3-5 years of professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to develop features while conducting unit tests

Knowledge of performance optimization

Ability to communicate with product members and other development team in English (Japanese)

Familiarity with Agile development

Experience integrating and development payment service

Experience with CI/CD tool(e.g. Bitrise)

PayPayはパンデミック期間中、従業員の安全を確保するためにリモートワークへの移行を進めており、パンデミックが治まった後もこれを継続していきます。
日本への移住を希望する方の応募は受け付けていますが、渡航規制の関係で移住の時期を明確にすることが難しい状況です。内定が出た場合は、在留資格認定証明書の申請を行いますので、国境が開通すればビザの取得が容易になりますし、遠隔地からの契約など、特別な配慮をすることも可能です。
COVID-19が落ち着き、ビザ発給の準備が整うまでは、海外からリモートで仕事を始めることができます。

Japanese Language Policy
At PayPay, there is a mixture of Japanese and English spoken. Around 80% of their product team’s discussions happen in English, and they have technical interpreters and translators on staff to facilitate any translation necessary. Some members can speak both English and Japanese, but some can only speak either English or Japanese.

PayPay doesn’t have an official shared language, but in practice English tends to be the primary language used for internal communications and technical discussions like code reviews.

Instead of requiring that everyone be able to speak a specific language, PayPay expects an ability to communicate with mutual respect and a drive to ensure that you’re understood. The product team values proactive communication highly.

We send you a code challenge after reviewing your resume. Please be prepared to take code challenge after submitting your application! It takes at most 3-4 hours to complete

3) 1 - 3 Interviews (online)
You will have 1 to 3 interviews with our engineers and HR
Work style
PayPay has introduced a highly unique “Working From Anywhere at Anytime” (WFA) HR system.

They work fully remotely, so as long as you’re in Japan you can generally live and work from wherever you want. Of course, there may be times you’re asked to come to the office for teambuilding and other activities (typically 1-2 times a month).

This system enables members to receive salary and benefits relative to a world-class city and work with world-class peers without actually having to live in a city. By changing how people at PayPay work, the system aims to provide a stimulating environment that enables members to build an amazing product that’s beloved by its users.

※ Currently, remote work is limited to within Japan. There is no support for working from abroad at this time.

Work hours
- In principle, from 10:00am to 18:45pm (actual working hours: 7h45m＋1 hour lunch break from 12pm to 13pm in principle)
  ※ We use super flextime system which do not set core hours and also we may have overtime work based on business needs.
